The first traces of indigo on skin or pale fabric are not a flaw. Loose pigment leaves the cloth as it begins its life with you.
Wash an indigo piece on its own in cool water. Use only a little neutral soap, avoid long soaking, and let it dry away from direct sun.
With time, edges brighten and folds remember movement. The cloth becomes less uniform and more particular. That change is the final stage of the dyeing process.
